30 Day Me Time Challenge

Being a Mom is challenging. Some days it seems there isn’t enough time in the day. Between Laundry, Cooking,Cleaning, Homework, Extra-curricular activities it seems never-ending. By the end of the day all you want to do is slip into your comfy clothes and collapse on the bed and sleep.

Sound familiar? I’m sure it does! I know there are some days I am so tired and cranky by the end of the day. My boys aren’t even babies anymore and I’m still tired at the end of the day.

One of my favorite quotes and it’s SO TRUE!!!!!


I am starting a 30 day ME Time Challenge! Making time for yourself is not just a “maybe” its a must.


Make a habit of carving out some me time everyday, even if it’s just a few minutes of quiet at the end of the day, you deserve it!! Tell your spouse/family shoot even tell the babysitter that you are challenging yourself to some ME time. If you have a date night with your spouse, having a sitter lined up already is so much easier than UMMMMM who’s going to watch the kids. If you have a friends day planned, your other half knows ahead of time that you have plans.


Here are 30 Idea’s for YOU Time

  1. Read a book, watch a movie after that kids are asleep.

  2. Go for a  walk, get some sunshine, you know Vitamin D its the Happy Vitamin.

  3. Have brunch with a friend while kids are at school.

  4. Get up earlier during the week, enjoy your morning coffee on the porch and watch the sun come up.

  5. Have a date night, this is a MUST for both parents.

  6. Take a hot bath, pamper yourself.

  7. Video Chat with a friend or family member who lives far away.

  8. Do a craft, paint, or build something. Check out local craft nigts there is so many neat ones.

  9. Sleep In!!!!!

  10. Get your hair done.

  11. Star watch,  drink some tea just enjoy the quietness of the night.

  12. Get a Mani or Pedi. Even have a friends day.

  13. Workout

  14. Family Day Trip yes I know I said ME time, but family outings are always a fun time.

  15. Organize something in your house,- once again this maybe an everyday chore but being organized may boost your spirits.

  16. Crank the music YES even that music you used to jam to in Highschool, who cares if you’re singing BackStreet Boys!!!

  17. Dance around the house

  18. ‘Write in a journal.

  19. Have trouble sleeping, try diffusing some lavender before bed.

  20. Treat yourself to something you have been wanting.

  21. Plant a garden, even if it’s just a small flower garden.

  22. Take a NAP!

  23. Meet other moms for playdates.

  24. Have a fire , roast some s’mores, even have an adult beverage.

  25. Go grocery shopping alone. Seriously Its HEAVEN especially late at night when NO one is in the stores.

  26. Have a lunch date with your other half.

  27. Visit a friend or family member you don’t see often.

  28. Unplug from social media for the day.

  29. Have lunch with your kids at school.

  30. Go to a movie, YES that sappy Girly movie you have been wanting to see.

And this goes right along with my late night shopping!!!


Everyone of these things are just ideas I came up with. Of course you can create your own ME Time ideas. Make it a habit to have ME Time! Everyone including MOMS need it.

      It is very hard. I’m working on making sure I do something for myself. I tend to put kids and everything else before myself and then wonder why I’m exhausted or cranky.

  1. Love this! My kids are both in elementary school so I do get alot of me time but during the little kid phase its even more important! I am still a fan of the hot bath, thats my favorite way to relax!
