From even before birth, a mothers love is unconditional.
My mom is an amazing woman, as far back as I can remember she has always been the rock in our family. Growing up as the oldest with 2 sisters(one is 2 1/2 years younger the other is almost 15 years younger), I have to give my mom credit all girls SERIOUSLY this woman is a saint!
My sister and I did some crazy things, once we tried to hatch a Robin Egg in the microwave(…. yes disgusting…. but in my 10ish year old mind it was an incubator maybe we could save the baby robin ….) No mom was not happy it was the most awful smell ever. Once we were fighting all day long and mom had most likely had it hours prior but…. we had to sit in the driveway(mind you we lived on a BUSY enough street), hold hands and touch noses until we could get along, if we talked she added time ….. lets just say we shut up eventually, most embarasing thing ever but it worked……(GENIOUS MOM Status!!!!!)
As a teenager, I will be completely honest I was a BRAT to put it nicely, yet no matter what my mom was always there.(Im sure there were some days she wanted to put me on a one way ticket anywhere!)
Now that I’m grown with kids of my own(all BOYS and 2 in the pre-teen/teenager years)…. I will call mom up or message her and be like UGH!!!!! Seriously….. you wont believe these kids ……… like they will not stop fighting etc etc
I kid you not her responses are usually HAHA!, I remember those days, and more laughing…… SERIOUSLY MOM… you are an amazing mom and and you rock as a grandma.
You may be asking what this all has to do with Mothers & Daughters and what it has to do with the evolving relationship….. well its pretty simple actually
As we grow older we realize that our moms have always had our back, and she becomes one of your best friends as time goes on.
To my mom: I just wanted to say thank you for always being a wonderful mom, even on days I didnt deserve anything besides a swift kick in the butt, you have always been there. I love you!!!!
